CONSULTING SERVICES
We work with clients to identify areas of improvement with how they are using technology as a tool. To do this, I not only rely on my years of experience, but also on a network of business associates and contacts in the computer industry. When we first started consulting, we developed a set of 12 rules for dealing with clients. Feel free to click on that link to review them. Listed below is a description of the types of consulting we provide.
Social Technologies
Social Media/Networking has become a powerful new tool for helping organizations find, develop, and communicate with new customers. What started as a collection of tools that individuals used to build community has now migrated into a full blown trend inside of many organizations. Scott has developed a number of tools and concepts that help organizations develop a winning strategy for using social media.

High Beam Strategy Process
Scott has developed a multi step process designed to help organizations see into the future in a very accurate way. This day long workshop is a natural extension of an organizations current strategy process and is specifically designed to create a set of investments that an executive develops to focus on being prepared with people, products and processes that will be valuable in the future. This annual process always provides a shared view among the team on where things are going, and how this future view will be leveraged.
Virtual Teams
The concept of using virtual teams as a new method for raising productivity is becoming increasingly popular. Through a confluence of new technologies, the need to constantly reduce bottom line costs, and a fiercely competitive marketplace, many organizations are now extremely interested in learning how to leverage virtual teams into a strategic advantage. In concept, there is a lot to like about being able to assemble a team of people that are working from wherever is most convenient for them – and without the corresponding office expenses. In reality, there is an art to assembling and managing virtual teams and we have barely scratched the surface on defining best practices as the statistics below point out.

Technology Audit and Review
We have developed a multi stepped process for reviewing the technology infrastructure in an organization. This review typically takes two days to perform, and includes many interviews with employees. The output is a report that documents both what we observed, and a list of recomendations as to how the organization can vastly improve their ability to use technology to reach their goals.
Creation of a Multi Year Technology Plan
Many organizations develop strategy plans that do not include a specific plan for technology investment and implementation. Because technology is such a large part of most budgets, and also critical in providing the speed, and innovations needed to succeed, it is wise to develop a specific technology plan. We have years of experience and many shell documents available which make creating this type of crucial document an easy process.
